Feng-Biao Guo finished his doctorial study of bioinformatics at Tianjin University in February 2006. Then he worked at UESTC (Chengdu) for 15 years. Now he is a full professor at Wuhan University and engaged in the study of microbes and drug informatics. His research interests currently focus on prediction of essential genes, mining of candidate Anti-CRISPR genes, analysis and validation of tRNA regulating translation efficiency as well as mining disease-associated metabolites (chemical molecules). In total, he has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers in international journals. Up to now, his papers have attracted over 2000 citations. Prof. Guo once won Henry Fok academic prize for young teachers of high education (2011) and the scientific development prize of Sichuan province (2013). In 2018, he was selected was one of the excellent experts with outstanding contributions in Sichuan province. He has served as reviewers for near 100 journals such as Nucleic Acids Research, Biotechnology Advances and Biological Psychiatry.
